Memorable or not?

I had the opportunity this past week to find a lot of old friends with the help of the blogging world. These are people who I have thought of often throughout the years but have not been able to contact them. I have been away from my home town for Eleven years and it has been hard to stay in the loop with all my friends. I remember these people well and have a permanent spot in my heart for them. The question is do they remember me? Am I ever on their thoughts? This is something that I am not real sure about. I don't think that I am one who everyone loved and wanted to be with. I was the one next to the one that everyone wanted to be with. I think this is still true today. I have a bunch of friends, but when I moved a mile away they started to disappear a bit. It is not on purpose. These are great people, I just think that they have forgotten about me. I am not that memorable. So as I reconnect with these friends my hope is that they will remember me just a little bit and that they will be happy to keep in touch. And a big thank you to the blogging world that makes it all possible.

p.s. I realized that there is no picture of me on this blog, or really in my photo collection at home. I guess the kids take more precedence than me, where the camera is concerned. So I decided to post one I took the other day. Not my best, but for those who may not have seen me for years, maybe it will jog their memory.

You are so not forgettable. Just because we say we will call and don't or we chat and say we should get together, but it doesn't ever happen doesn't mean we don't think about you guys! Good to see you the other week!
PS-We should get together :)

Oh Kristen! You are unforgettable! All the memories we have of each other are old, but that doesn't mean we won't have new ones now that we've reconnected! I actually wonder a lot what happened to high school friends. You included.

Hey Kristen,
It's great to hear from you. It's been a long time since the old West High days. It was fun to check out your blog. I was especially interested in your son's visit to the dentist. Glad he's okay and that you've got a good dentist. We'll have to keep in touch.

Kristen! How could I ever forget your perfect side ponytail and you making sure I made it to school on time? haha! I do run into your parents all the time and it was fun to see your dad conduct the BYU orchestra the other week when I was out visiting. I just love your family. I'm sad you don't have that house anymore though. that was the coolest place. Your kids look exactly like you! So cute. I'm finally pregnant with my second and due in August, so I'll let you know what I'm having! Keep in touch and BTW, you still look so young and beautiful. What's your secret?

Kristen,

I think it takes two to keep a friendship going. Your desire to have good friends requires that you also make efforts to keep in touch...

I appreciate your comments on this matter. I have had similiar thoughts especially since we seem to be on the move every few years. I've learned that there are basically two types of friends, friends that knock on your door and friends that wait for you to knock on there's. I'm still figuring out what kind of friend I am. I try to be a knocker but depending on life's circumstances effect which kind we are as well. I'm glad we met and I'm grateful for the time we had in Lakeland. Kristen Lind and her big red, or was it green? bag will always be memorable. :) (Remember the time you talked about your big purse at church...I'm guessing it was at some RS activity or lesson.I'm a little hazy on the event. But I remember you saying how you always keep a good book in your bag because you never know when you'll have a spare minute to read. That totally inspired me and I became a much better reader after that!
